The Millikan High School Cheer Squads are recognized as a sports activity. Today's cheerleader is an athlete with special talents, which include gymnastics and dance. All members of the cheer squads compete in local, regional and national competitions, as well as performing the duties of crowd leading at a wide variety of sports events. They set an example for others in their school spirit, their leadership, and commitment to their studies.

Ingrid Palsgrove - Millikan Cheer Advisor

Hi there! My name is Ingrid Palsgrove and I’m the cheer advisor of this amazing program at Millikan High School. I’m so excited to be working with such a talented group of athletes and feel privileged to work with 50 teenage girls and their parents. As the cheer advisor I have the honor to be a part of making memories that will last my students a lifetime, who could ask for a better job?!

My cheerleading background begins at Millikan High School, so you can say I’m more than invested in Millikan cheer, I’m passionate about this program. As a Millikan ram, I participated on the varsity gymnastics team as well as the varsity cheer squad and fell in love with the sport that has continued to occupy my life since then!

After high school I went on to cheer at Cal State Long Beach as a member of the coed cheer squad, and I also cheered for a professional/all star team Cheer Empire. During college I began coaching gymnastic classes as well as coaching high school cheer squads and I learned that sharing my passion for the sport and working with high school teens was my calling in life.

I feel it is so important to continue to educate myself and stay current with cheerleading practices and safety guidelines, I’m AACAA and NFHS certified, and have taken coaching courses with UCA, USA and COA. I feel that safety is a top priority and creating a cheer program that has a foundation based on creating healthy trained athletes that set an example for others in their school spirit, their leadership, and commitment to their studies is what Millikan Cheerleading is all about.
“Live it, breathe it, Love it!”
